Dear,
Your painful situation may be due to tear or twisting of tendons. If there is swelling of right hip or thigh along with tenderness & abnormal mobility it may be fracture at the pelvis.
You should not mobilize the leg; use any leg traction which contains sand bag. If there any fracture, you should visit a doctor for sure. I suggest you to get an X-ray pelvis done to rule out fracture.
For pain relief, you can try:
· Ice packs on it
· While sleeping, sleep in lateral side with right leg on above so it gets less pressure
· You can use over the counter NSAID's such as ibuprofen
· Keep your leg in normal position
· Use walking stick or walker with 4 legs to support you so there will be less pressure on the hip.
If there is any fever, use antibiotics with it as it may be myositis or osteomyelitis. If there is any external injury causing contact with external environment, I advise you to get TT prophylaxis done.
